About Us

Our Mission

The mission of the Digital ACT (Action, Consultation, and Training) Studio is to support students, faculty, and staff in the creation of stronger, rhetorically and aesthetically effective digital projects by offering collaborative consultations and feedback during any stage of the project. The Digital ACT Studio strives to provide professionally trained faculty and student staff to help faculty create appropriate, pedagogically effective digital assignments and to help students make their digital assignments more rhetorically and aesthetically compelling.

Our goal at the Digital ACT Studio is to help designers learn to use technology more meaningfully and to help them improve their digital design skills. Depending on where they are in their process, a consultant may provide feedback during the brainstorming, composition, creation, and editing phases of the project; prompting the designer to think about rhetorical choices (audience, purpose, and context), as well as visual elements and aesthetic design.
